While traveling in India, some kids on the street approached me asking for pens and pencils. Since then, I carry pencils while I travel to leave behind. The phrase "Ars Longa, Vita Brevis" means "Life is Short, the Art Long" in Latin. As they are worn and sharpened, the time shortens for the user to create. To date, I've left pencils in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, The Netherlands, Singapore, (South) Korea, Taiwan, and the United States.
